Hong Ngoc General Hospital has officially launched a modern preclinical training center aligned with international standards

02-03-2026

Hong Ngoc General Hospital has officially launched a modern preclinical training center designed to realistically simulate emergency response, patient care, and clinical management processes. This milestone marks a significant step in advancing structured, modern medical training, ultimately enhancing patient safety and quality of care.

Simulation based training serves as a foundation for enhancing healthcare workforce competency and standardizing treatment quality.

The Preclinical Training Center at Hong Ngoc General Hospital was established with the mission of creating a professional learning environment where physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff can practice clinical skills on advanced simulation systems before applying them in real patient care.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Van Tuan Nhat, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Hong Ngoc Group, emphasized: “The Preclinical Training Center not only contributes to the standardization of clinical practice within the hospital, but also serves as an extended arm to promote patient safety values and foster a more civilized healthcare community.”

Training programs at the Center are systematically structured and continuously updated with the latest advances in medical knowledge.

The center is developed with a focus on simulation based training, an advanced educational approach widely adopted in leading healthcare systems such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Japan. In these systems, clinical simulation is considered a standard in medical education, particularly in training for emergency response, resuscitation, surgical procedures, and critical care management.

The establishment of the preclinical simulation center helps standardize clinical processes, reduce errors, and enhance clinical responsiveness and situational management, thereby improving patient safety. The center also aims to develop specialized training programs and provide continuous medical education to strengthen staff competency and sustainably improve treatment outcomes.

Sharing the development vision, Dr. Le Lan Phuong, PhD, Director of the Preclinical Training Center, stated: “The center aims to become a leading preclinical training institution in Vietnam. In addition to enhancing clinical expertise, we place strong emphasis on communication skills with patients and their families, as well as effective interdisciplinary teamwork among healthcare professionals, thereby improving professionalism and ensuring safety in patient care and treatment.”

With a robust infrastructure and modern equipment systems, Hong Ngoc General Hospital has made comprehensive investments in next generation medical simulation models, hands on training devices, and scenario based simulation technologies. These enable the reproduction of a wide range of clinical scenarios, from basic to complex, particularly in emergency care, resuscitation, and critical condition management.

Unlike traditional training models, the system integrates advanced sensor technologies capable of providing objective performance assessment of trainees. Simulation scenarios supported by specialized software reproduce comprehensive vital signs, including respiratory patterns and ECG monitoring, allowing learners to engage in highly realistic clinical situations and enhance clinical decision making and response skills.

The simulation room is equipped with modern sensor-integrated systems, capable of recreating real-life clinical scenarios with high fidelity.

The Preclinical Training Center delivers a wide range of training programs, with a strong focus on Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) courses in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) standards. The center also provides hospital emergency response training (Code Blue), first aid and basic emergency care, as well as essential clinical procedures for physicians and nurses, alongside first aid training programs for external organizations. In addition, the center promotes scientific research and expands collaboration with domestic and international medical and educational institutions to enhance training quality and align with international standards.

Training programs at the Center are designed with diverse levels, from basic to advanced, in accordance with international standards.

The simulation system is comprehensively designed, including an intensive care unit (ICU), operating room, inpatient ward, simulation control room, as well as dedicated areas for theoretical training and debriefing.

In addition, the center brings together a faculty of experienced physicians and clinical experts who play a key role in curriculum development and directly supervise hands-on training.

Training is conducted directly by physicians from Hong Ngoc General Hospital with extensive experience in clinical practice and medical education.
